Weather
The district lies between 1,000 and 1,600 metres above sea level with a number of isolated peaks rising to over 2,000-3,000 metres above sea level. The most pronounced mountain peaks in the district include Mt. Kadam, Lolekek and Napak. The district receives between 500-1500 mm of rainfall per year.

Population
According to the preliminary results of the 2002 Population and Housing Census, Nakapiripirit district has a population of 156,500 persons. Ngakarimojong and Pokot are the main languages spoken in the district.
